Job Opportunities - Police Chief

<td>The City of Berlin (pop. 5400) is seeking candidates for the position of [Police](/blog/police) Chief.   The department has 13 sworn positions and the 2003 budget is approximately $1,004,000 dollars. The 2003 salary range for the position is $42,000 to 60,000, DOQ. The City of Berlin also provides a generous benefits package.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of responsible professional law enforcement management and supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience which demonstrates capability to successfully perform in areas of position required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.  An associate degree is required. A bachelorís degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to pass a background investigation, physical and psychological examinations, and drug screening.  Residency in the City of Berlin is required.
